(C27) [Studio Boxer / Shima Megumi (Shima Takashi)] Original Character Setting Collection - I.RO.HA HO.HE.TO (1984) - (C27) [スタジオぼくさぁ/ 嶌恵 (嶌隆)] 『オリキャラ設定集』I.RO.HA HO.HE.TO (1984) 昭和 59 年

Completed between the 8th of August to the 28th of August, this booklet was sold as part of the goods presented by Studio Boxer/Studio Bokusa at Comiket 27 (December, 1984). Shima Megumi (the artist and animator Shima Takahasi), was only 16 years old when he made this setting document of his original characters, though later would become 17 only a few days after its initial completion in August. I have speculation to think that these same characters would go on to be included in an adult animation, though I am still confirming. I do know that the main female character shown does show up in Shima's later works, I.RO.HA , by 1988. This is also possibly Shima's very first doujinshi.

Shima notes that he was a big fan of 'Kaifun and Milia' from Macross, and many of the pieces mirror that of Haruhiko Mikioto's hand. Minimal editing was done on this book as I wanted to keep it as close to the original as possible. The age is prevalent, and I wanted to preserve it as found.

Shima notes the following:

"Well, to be honest, I didn't have much time. After I finished drawing, I realized that the lines were too thin, so I had to redraw them all, and I traced all the lines. It was already distorted, but it just got more distorted, and I was so annoyed!

At first, I thought that summer vacation was very long, but now I think it's really short. I didn't have time to draw at all during July at the club, and in the first half of August I went to the bungalow and did homework, and I was completely empty, but I didn't start the homework that I really wanted to make (actually, I didn't want to start).

I didn't finish it all at once, but I only gave it the name yesterday (my brother gave it to me). Personal magazines are mostly made by people who are skilled, but as you can see, I'm not very good, so I made something that has never been seen in a book.

Thank you so much to everyone who bought and read this. I would be very happy if you could tell me your thoughts about it. I hope I can sell this on my birthday as well. I'll be 17 in 19 days. I love Kaifun and Milia!"
